Plan your goal!

In our life we should have our own goal setting.  A lot of thanks to my lecturer, Dr. Hariyati, again and again she always gives motivation to me, how the goal setting is very important in achieving successful in this life. May Allah bless you madam, through my writing I can tell you that how lucky I am be as your student. (T_T) ~banyak ilmu dapat *_*
Suddenly I remember she said one day she wish to go to Gaza with medic team to help Palestinians. Subhanallah! Ameen ya Allah, bless her always. ~when we have good intention, Allah will ease all the things that we wish! insyaAllah..
Ha, how about you? Have you prepare for your goals in your life? I guess everyone has their own goals to achieve. No one live in this world without goals. Right? ^_^
Em  I remember a professor  said, “if you want to achieve your goals in the life, displacement is important than distance.” What I’m trying to say is even though you have planned many goals but there’s no displacement you make.  So it is nothing.

Hem, all right!
In sport, goal setting has been found to be effective in influencing sport performance, positive change in confidence, anxiety and motivation.~ You know what you desire to do.  An athlete needs to set goal which are realistic, appropriate and systematically. Goal is defined as an objective or aim of action, pertaining on a task, usually within a specific time limit.
Why is goal setting is useful?
Goal setting is valuable because it helps the performer persist by making performance measurable and specific over a short time span. The achievement of long term goals is seen to be not only attainable but as being attained. It also directs attention to a particular skill by focusing learning and reducing uncertainty. When having the goals, it motivates the performer by providing feedback on performance and increasing confidence. It also helps athlete to reduce stress by focusing on a particular goal during performance. The athlete will be able to focus attention on it, thus protecting from any arousal that lead as a stressor. Thus it can increase self-confidence prior to competition.
There are some characteristics of a goal that we should know:

S= SPECIFIC – the athlete needs to know exactly what he or she is working towards, and when it has been achieved. It should be clear how a particular goal fits into an overall strategy of improving performance.
M=MEASURABLE – goals must be easily measured and recorder (such as performance time).  It must have a way to quantify it.
A=ATTAINABLE—this relate to the point that goals must be realistic, so that they are attainable.
R=REALISTIC—set a goal which is realistic and achievable.
T=TIME LINE – give the time line to implement your goal such as once a week, months or years.
Even though the goals setting is focus for the individual, but it is valuable for teams as well.

As a Muslim, we should have the highest targets and goals in the world which is paradise. This is an ultimate goal we have to achieve in this life.

Here is the blueprint for setting Islamic goals for Muslims (^_^):
I -- an Islamic goal should be inline with the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah
S -- the goal should be specific, focused and targeted
L -- make it lucrative and profitable in the hereafter.
A - -it should be appropriate, achievable
M --it must be measurable
I-- have a good intention, deeds are judged on intention
C -- be consistent in working for your goals

So, before you discover your vision, you should know what your purpose to do it. Let’s plan our realistic goal from now and implement it with maximum self-discipline. All the best!
